How does flurry of blows work in Pathfinder?
If he chooses to attack Flurry of Blows, he can take any combination of attacks that he likes with his weapon and unarmed strikes. Meaning, he could go: sword, headbutt, foot, sword, sword, foot, sword as an example.
When can I use flurry of blows?
Flurry of blows lets you make two unarmed strikes, which equals one more than “normal”. Additionally, Flurry of Blows does not increase in number of strikes when you gain extra attack.
Can flurry of blows attack multiple targets?
Yes. A monk can hit multiple enemies, and can even make a single 5′ step while doing that. This is answered in the full attack section of the core rules.

Yes. Whether as part of their normal bonus attack when unarmed or wielding a monk weapon or as part of a ‘flurry of blows’, monks apply their ability modifier (Strength or Dexterity) to their damage rolls. Can you flurry of blows first?
This is correct! I believe you can still move before/between the unarmed strikes that are part of Flurry of Blows, but the Attack action (including any extra attacks) has to be fully completed before you can use Flurry of Blows.
Can I split flurry of blows?
Basic Rules state that the general case is that you can split your movement before, after and between your actions; that is: you could move > bonus action > move > action > move, or viceversa, or any combination.
Can I use my monk weapon for flurry of blows?
You therefore need to remain unarmed or be wielding only approved monk weapons to get the benefit of a monk’s unarmed strike bonus when using your extra unarmed strike from Martial Arts or Flurry of Blows. Otherwise, you only do 1+Str damage per success attack roll.
Does flurry of blows stack with martial arts?

Does flurry of blows stack with Martial Arts?
The Flurry of Blows feature uses a Bonus Action. The Martial Arts attacks also use a Bonus Action. So you cannot use both in the same round.
Can you use flurry of blows if you miss?
During our last session, the DM informed our level 2 monk that they could only use the unarmed strike bonus action, or spend a ki point to do flurry of blows, if their main attack action hit. If the first one missed, it’s over and they can’t attack anymore.
Can you flurry of blows before attacking?
Or because it states “immediately after the attack action” flurry of blows can only be done before moving. So now it becomes: Attack target 1, flurry of blows, move, attack target 2 if character has an extra attack.
