Is Lookout Mountain a real mountain?

Can you drive up Lookout Mountain Tennessee?

As I recall, it’s probably about a 10′ distance, then it opens back up into a nice wide area where you can sit and take pictures. Worst case, there are ways around this little area, so you can still enjoy the view without actually going through it.

Yes you can do it all in one day. I would do the incline railway first, then ruby falls and end with rock city. I would allow an hour to hour and a half for each.
Can you drive up to the top of Lookout Mountain?
Lookout Mountain is tapered on both sides with an escarpment of short cliffs at the crest, so when driving up the mountain you really don’t get a sense of height until right at the top, and then only for about 1/4 mile and most people don’t find it scary at all.
