Return your items to any Calgary Public Library location. You can return items to any of our 21 locations using the self check-in machine or return chute. You do not have to return your items to the same Library you borrowed them from.
Do I have to wear a mask in Library?

Can you return library books to a different branch?
Yes, that’s correct. Book returns are accepted at all branches.
How many times does a library book get checked out?
Circulating books are the most common — these books may leave the library and be checked out for up to three (3) weeks. They may also be renewed twice for three (3) weeks each, as long as no one else is waiting for the book. This means that, in total, a book could be checked out for up to nine (9) weeks.
How many books may be borrowed at once?
Children and young adults may borrow up to 5 books at a time. Adults may borrow up to 4 books at a time.
Are U of C buildings open?
Building hours – updated Aug. 16, 2021, buildings on main campus will be unlocked between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, and will be locked overnight and on weekends. Outside of these hours, buildings can be accessed by electronic or key access only.
