Is Wangan Midnight better than initial D?
Wangan midnight just flat out has more variety of its cars than Initial D. Initial D seems to follow a straightforward formula when it comes to the cars, 80s and 90s Japanese cars. Wangan on the other hand has a WAAAAAY more diverse car roster.
Is Wangan Midnight a good anime?
Wangan Midnight is a mediocre series, it excels at nothing and it is not intriguing. Even if you really want a cars/racing anime this series is barely worth watching, I would not recommend it….Reviews.

The last pre-launch live stream for Initial D The Arcade revealed a surprising collaboration with Wangan Midnight. While the two Japanese racing manga series have have competing arcade games, this marks the first time ever a collaboration will be held between the two franchises.
