The Twelve Talismans are a powerful set of magical charms, each represented by an animal of the Chinese zodiac. They were originally created by Lo Pei when he cast a chi spell to defeat Shendu by imprisoning him in stone whilst extracting each of his magical powers into the form of twelve talismans.
