Who owns Atwood Lake Campground?
The Atwood Lake Resort and Conference Center, with nine hole par-3 and 18-hole championship golf courses, was built in 1965. The MWCD transferred ownership of the property to Carroll County on February 10, 2012. The resort closed in March 2016 due to financial problems.

Area G allowed for the d evelopment of 27 new daily/weekly RV sites. These new areas can be found immediately upon entering the campground and located next to the Activity/Nature center in the park. These sites open in Summer of 2019. Area H at Atwood Lake Park is the first campsite area at Atwood to be fully upgraded for visitors to enjoy.

Now, daily visitors can enjoy this full-hook up with amazing views of Atwood Lake. Area H is a new, full-hookup RV campground near the Amphitheater. Amenities include a new Restroom/Shower house, along with upgrades to electric service, water, sewer, and new pedestal grill, picnic table and fire ring.
