Are trikes legal in UK?
You’ll need a full category A1 motorbike licence to ride motor tricycles up to power output 15 Kilowatts ( kW ), and a full category A motorbike licence to ride trikes with a power output more than 15 kW .
Can I drive a trike on a car Licence?
You can drive a motor tricycle of any power rating if you’re over 21 and you have a full car driving licence.
Can I ride a trike motorbike on my car Licence?
Yes, if you have a full car licence you can ride a 125cc scooter or motorbike off-road. However, you must take and pass your compulsory basic training (CBT) before riding on the road.
Do you need a CBT for a trike?
Compulsory Basic Training: As before the changes, people with a provisional motorcycle licence must complete a CBT course before they can take a moped or motorcycle onto the road. (As of 19th January 2013 this now also applies to trikes). The CBT certificate will still be valid for two years.

Who are trike design?
Formed a long time ago under the still familiar name of Hanks Chop Shop down on Broadway in Cardiff. We have expanded quite a bit since then and formed a new company called Trike Design – as that’s what we do, alongside our busy customising work, servicing, bike MOT’s and general repairs.

Where is Broadway trike repair?
We left Broadway a good few years back and are now based in Caerphilly, 4 miles from Junction 32 of the M4, just north of Cardiff, in a brand new unit, custom made for building, repairing and servicing bike and trikes. This allows us to do what we do best – helping you. Not just trikes!
