What is hair weft length?
A Hair Weft/Weave is hair that has been woven carefully together onto one wide thin strip usually weighing between 110-130g. The width can fluctuate but it is typically around 4ft feet it can also vary depending on the length.
How long is a weft bundle?
Weft extensions don’t come longer than 24 inches. Our 24-inch hair extensions weft bundles are the second-most popular length at ZALA. These are great for average-height to taller clients.
How wide are wefts?
Our wefting system is a single weft of hair that is sewn in through a beaded foundation. Our wefts are 30 grams – 11″ wide and are so delicate and thin.
How many bundles do I need for 28 inches of hair?
A 10″ bundle has a longer weft when compared to a 20″ bundle. The weight of the hair in a 10″ bundle is wide and long on a 20″ bundle. The reason you might need 5 bundles when using lengths in the 28″ – 32″ range is that the hair weight is going all the way down your back and not sewn around your head.
Are weft extensions bad for your hair?
Minimal damage. Weft hair extensions are sewn into your natural hair, which means there’s no need for chemicals or heat. Some wefts are attached using beads, which could damage thinner hair. Sewn-in wefts, however, are ideal for most hair types and won’t damage your natural locks.
How many wefts are in a row?
2-4 wefts
When it comes to what’s being put onto your hair, typically 2-4 wefts are sewn into each row. Sometimes, one row is perfect, but other times you may need two or three. This all depends on what kind of look you’re going for.
Do wefts damage your hair?
Beaded weft extensions do not cause any damage to the natural hair it is sewn on to, and they are safe to for using heat products and styling tools on. Our stylists are well trained on how to safely handle and apply the extensions to your hair to achieve your desired look with no damage or pain.
Do weft extensions look natural?
Natural looking results. Weft hair extensions sit very close to the scalp and when they’re installed correctly, they look completely natural. Even if you had to wear an up-style, nobody would be able to tell that you’ve got extensions.

Hand-Tied weft While they cannot be cut due to their delicate nature, they are the best choice for adding natural volume for people who have thin, fine hair. That’s because of their thin design while they also lie flat on your hair without added bulk or weight.
How many wefts do I need for sew in extensions?
Generally, you’ll need between 4-8 wefts if your objective is volume, and those with finer hair types can expect to use up to 10 wefts (meaning you’ll likely need to purchase two packs of hair).
How many sew in wefts do you need?

Sew-In Weft extensions take approximately two hours to install, and you’ll need 3-4 rows of wefts for a full head.
Can you wear your hair up with weft extensions?
Yes! You can wear your hair up or down, exercise, and do most other things you would normally do without damaging the hair extensions. When applied correctly you can also style your weft, tape and micro bead hair extensions into a pony without any of the extension application showing!
