Is AAU track a thing?
AAU High School Elite Meet Series coming to AAU Track and Field in 2021. AAU Track and Field is expanding its championship meets to including a new series for high school athletes to compete with the nation’s largest volunteer youth sports organization.
What age does AAU track start?
Starting blocks are optional for all age groups except the 15-16 Year Old and 17-18 Year Old age divisions in the AAU Track & Field program. The 15-16 Year Old and 17-18 Year Old age divisions must use starting blocks for 100m, 200m and 400m races and the first leg of all relays where that leg does not exceed 400m.
How do you qualify for AAU track nationals?
The top eight (8) finishers in each event and each age division qualify from the AAU Primary National Championships (combined results), AAU Club Championships, AAU West Coast National Championship and West Coast Unity Games to the AAU Junior Olympic Games.

First, second, and third place finishers in approved AAU District Swimming Championship Meets in individual events under 400M, will qualify for the AAU Junior Olympic Games. Swimmers must place in the District Championship in the age division they will compete in during the AAU Junior Olympic Games.
