Are DD amplifiers good?
I’d rank DD amps up there with the best of them. I have been running the S4 for several years now and love it. DDs amps are built in Korea and are solidly built. They are over-engineered and put out clean power for the SPL crowd, but work well for SQ for the same reasons.

Registered. The point of DD+ is that it is a much more efficient codec. Even at the same bitrate as traditional DD you should get better quality from DD+.
Are sound digital amps any good?
This amp is great all plastic construction it may feel cheap but soundigital is a reputable brand. This is their compact amp. The 2 fans kick in a soon as amp gets power but you can barely hear them. Please note this amp has a very basic LPF and HPF filter so it will help if you have a EQ or Crossover before the amp.
Can any speakers be used for Dolby Atmos?
Dolby recommends at least four height speakers for the best result, and any speakers will do. Even better, you won’t need a special Blu-ray player, since all current players support Dolby Atmos. Also worth noting is that all of your HDMI cables will work with Dolby Atmos as well.

Great Construction These speakers from Memphis are well made. They have quality construction and very clean and crisp sound. The crossovers are very nice as well. The down side is that they do not handle much power.
