What is Allegro tool?
Allegro Manufacturing Option consist of three tools for easy manufacturing output. Documentation Editor creates complex documentation of production and assembly data automatically. Automation introduces a defined flow of documentation that leads to consistent documentation, avoiding misinterpretations.
How do you place an Allegro?
follow these steps.
- Double click on the shape on which you want to add vias.
- select add connect form the popmenu.
- Right click after 2 and select addvia in the pop menu.
- via will be addded on tour shape.
- copy the via and paste with in the sahpe as per your data sheet.
What is Cadence Allegro used for?
The Cadence® Allegro® viewer allows anyone to open, view and plot Allegro PCB Editor, OrCAD PCB Editor, Allegro Package Designer, and Allegro PCB SI technology databases without a license.
What is OrCAD Allegro?
The OrCAD® / Allegro® Starter Library 1.0 is a free library that includes OrCAD Capture schematic , Allegro Design Entry HDL and Allegro Design Entry CIS symbols along with OrCAD / Allegro PCB Editor footprints and the necessary component properties.
What is the difference between Allegro and OrCAD?
Orcad is used for schematic design, Allegro is used for PCB layout design both the tool are from CADENCE. Both are interfaced.

How do I download Allegro 5?
Ubuntu PPA. For Linux distributions based on Ubuntu (and Ubuntu itself), you can download binary packages for Allegro 5 by adding the a PPA to your software sources, and then installing the relevant packages.
Is OrCAD the same as Allegro?
Yes the are effectively the same. Same database, libraries etc. You can open Allegro files in OrCAD and vice versa. OrCAD PCB Editor is a cut down version of Allegro PCB Designer.
