What is the name of reverse camber technology invented by Lib Tech?
Banana Technology
Banana Technology does away with this “dead zone” by reversing the snowboard’s camber between the rider’s feet; rather than arcing upward, like traditionally cambered boards, those with Banana Technology arc downwards, allowing the board to rest on its center when placed on a flat surface.
What is C2 camber?
C2 Power Banana Camber / Banana Blend (C2 BTX) Focuses pressure between your feet for easy turns, great edge hold on ice and a solid amount of pressure to the tip and tails for power end-to-end stability, pop and maximum control in critical situations while maintaining float.
What camber is best for powder?
Hybrid Camber
Rocker/Camber/Rocker (aka Hybrid Camber) The rocker in the tip and tail are great for turn initiation and float in powder, whilst the camber underfoot adds stability, pop, speed and increased edge-hold.
What is C3 Camber?
C3. C3 is the most aggressive camber in the Mervin line, providing control, precision and power. Micro rocker between the feet maximises edge contact and optimises performance, while overall camber builds in pop, stability and control.
Who owns Mervin Manufacturing?
Altamont Capital Management, LLCMervin Manufacturing / Parent organization
Is camber or rocker better for buttering?
reverse-camber for things like buttering is essentially the same issue. A board with reverse-camber is most likely going to be easier for buttering; you’re less likely to hang up on an edge.
Is rocker or camber better for powder?
Rocker profile snowboards work well at low speeds in powder and are great for intermediate all-mountain riders. Rocker profile snowboards are good in slushy conditions. Rocker snowboards generally provide less precise control and stability on hardpacked conditions (when compared with other camber bends).
Should I wax my new Lib Tech snowboard?
The quick answer is that you should get your snowboard waxed before using it. It does come with a wax and tune from the factory so you won’t hurt it by riding on it right away.
Who started Lib Tech?
Mike Olson
Founded by snowboarders Mike Olson and Pete Saari in 1977, Mervin is the parent company of Lib Tech, Gnu, Roxy Snowboarding and Bent Metal. The company was sold to Quik in 1997 but the brands all retained their own identities.
Can you butter on a stiff board?
When attempting the buttering technique on a stiff snowboard, you’ll need to make sure the bindings have been placed on the centermost mounting holes. Bindings that have been set farther back toward the tail will make it virtually impossible to balance on the nose of the snowboard.
