Can you park overnight in Killarney National Park?

There is a ‘no overnight camping’ sign (not very apparent when you’re in the car park, so we didn’t see it until the following morning!) There are also barriers (1.95m) but these were open on both sides of the car park so our van had no issues entering or exiting the following morning.
