Its stated mission is “to increase access to health care, improve public schools, make neighborhoods safer, build affordable housing, redevelop communities and revitalize democracy.” Faith in Action supports full citizenship for undocumented immigrants. The organization also supports universal health care.

It means helping those who are in need. Putting faith into action also means loving our neighbor as ourselves, even when our neighbor looks nothing like us, even when we live in one part of the world and our neighbor lives in another, even when we have one color of skin and our neighbor has another.

When he becomes Lord of our lives he can touch our beliefs, attitudes, behaviors and our hidden prejudices. When Jesus touches us, he can cause us to see other people as people of worth, people that he created and died for, and people that we should love as he loves.
