What is e-QIP application?
e-QIP allows the user to electronically enter, update and transmit their personal investigative data over a secure internet connection to a requesting agency. Applicants can only access the e-QIP system if they have been invited to do so by an appropriate official at their sponsoring agency.

Upload documents you have scanned or saved to your computer directly. Fax documents to the sponsoring agency’s fax machine, if they provided you a number.

After your eQIP account has been initiated, you will receive an email notification from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) containing your eQIP Registration Code (14 characters). You can then access the eQIP website and register.
