What is Compriband tape used for?
Usage / Purpose: Compriband is an impregnated joint sealing tape for use in a wide variety of movement joints including window perimeter seals and any other application that requires an air-curing, expanding foam sealing tape.
Whats Compriband?
Compriband (TP600) is a BBA Approved, impregnated, pre-compressed foam sealing tape, for use around the perimeter of windows and doors. It is comprised of open-cell polyurethane soft foam, impregnated with flame-retardant synthetic resin.

Is Compriband fire rated?
Compriband tape is a soft and flexible foam, impregnated with an acrylic based, UV stabilised resin. The resin is water repellent and contains a fire retardant. The tape also offers a self-adhesive side to aid initial location.

If you’re weathersealing a vertical space, start at the top and work your way to the bottom. Unroll a foot of tape at a time, removing the backing as you go, and insert the tape into the gap. Try to work quickly, because the foam will begin to expand as soon as you remove it from the packaging. And that’s it!
