Can you upgrade instrument cluster?
You have the option to purchase the upgrade parts and install them yourself or you can send your instrument cluster in for repair and we will add the options while we repair the cluster for you. We continue to add upgrade options, so if you don’t see what you need now, make sure and check back often.
Does ECU control instrument cluster?
In modern cars, all of the sensors are connected to the ECU, and the ECU sends all the relevant information to the instrument cluster. Instrument clusters are connected to the vehicle with a wiring harness.
Can you reset a gauge cluster?
Push and release the Sel/reset button button 3 times repeatedly. The instrument cluster begins its self-test. Each successive press of the Sel/reset button initiates a new cycling of all the gauges.
Do you have to program a new instrument cluster?
In some newer vehicles, you may not need to do anything. The mileage will automatically show up on the new instrument cluster when you install it. It will receive the information from the computer or chip that contains it and display the mileage. In these cars, the instrument cluster is just a display.
