How does Amber book work?
The Amber Book method is a quick and deep dive into all of the material covered in the six divisions of the ARE. The premise is that there is so much overlap in knowledge needed for the 5.0 exams, that you should study for them all at once and take the exams back-to-back.
Are 5.0 exams?
ARE® 5.0 is a multi-part (or division) exam designed to test your knowledge and skills regarding the practice of architecture. To start the exam, you’ll need to select a jurisdiction you’d like to receive a license in and receive eligibilities to test in from that jurisdiction. You’ll also need an active NCARB Record.
How long does it take to get through amber book?
The Amber Book course covers all of ARE 5.0. We recommend you schedule all of your remaining exams now for a block in about 2.5 – 3 months. Take the full course, take the remaining exams, and retake any you fail as soon as possible, before you forget what you learned.
Is 5.0 A study book?
The ARE 5.0 Handbook is your go-to resource for understanding the new exam. The 170-page document includes a breakdown of each division, sample questions, helpful formulas, common abbreviations, and more. It also includes a list of references that our architect volunteers use to write exam questions.
How do you pass PDD?
Try to review all the details and all the tables that are given in the book. The tables have a lot of comparison between different systems/assemblies regarding different functions/ uses or expectations. Understanding the relative relationship of different objects/assemblies is very important to pass the PDD exam.
Should I take PPD and PDD together?
PPD and PDD are not similar exams. Therefore they should NOT be taken closely. There should be at least 4 to 6 weeks between these two exams. Yes, they share some content, but their scales are wildly different.
Is architecture exam hard?
It is a very challenging and complicated exam process. People are failing the ARE Exam every single day. If the ARE was easy, EVERYONE would be a Registered Architect and it wouldn’t mean anything.
