What is kingspan made of?
The product is made from phenolic foam, which is one substance that can be used as the core of an insulating panel. According to planning documents, the cladding on Grenfell Tower was Reynobond PE – aluminium cladding with a polyethylene core. Behind the aluminium panels was insulation made by Celotex.

How long does Kingspan last?

Is Kingspan water resistant?
Kingspan thermapitch insulation board is a high performance rigid thermoset board with low thermal conductivity. This board is unaffected by air infiltration and water resistant.
Does kingspan need an air gap?
The timbers must be deep enough to allow the desired thickness of Kingspan Kooltherm K112 Framing Board to be fitted between them along with a 25 mm (min.) air gap between the insulation layer and the brick wall.
Is Kingspan safe in houses?
