Is Alta part of IKON?
New this season, the Alta-Bird Season Pass includes an Ikon Base pass with free skiing at 35+ ski areas around the world. Locally, that means you have unlimited access (with blackout dates) to Solitude, five days of skiing at Brighton Resort and five days at Deer Valley.
Is Alta good for beginners?

How difficult is Alta?
Advanced Skiing Alta UT Alta skiing is a bit tricky for advanced skiers because there is no differentiation between single and double blacks, although it’s generally easy enough to scope out the milder black runs from the lifts (on good vis days!). The far reaches of the Ballroom equates to an easy black run.

What makes Alta so good?
They are thin and symmetrical in shape, but most importantly for skiers, they create fluffy powder that’s perfect for skiing. In a sense, Alta’s snow can be boiled down to a single word: flotation.
Did Alta ever allow snowboarders?
Alta is a skier’s mountain. Snowboarding is not allowed.

Ikon owns 14 resorts and has 27 partners. Epic covers six Colorado resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte and Telluride. Ikon also is good at six Colorado resorts: Copper Mountain, Steamboat, Winter Park, Aspen Snowmass, Eldora and Arapahoe Basin.
Can I ski from Alta to Snowbird?
Alta and Snowbird are only separated by a ridgeline and if you buy a combination ticket you can easily swap between the two via Mineral Basin, the Baldy Shoulder, or the quality powder stashes of Keyhole.
