choir, body of singers with more than one voice to a part. A mixed choir is normally composed of women and men, whereas a male choir consists either of boys and men or entirely of men. In the United States the term boys’ choir is often applied to a choir in which the treble parts are sung by boys instead of women.
Does MIT have a concert band?
The Concert Band is dedicated to rehearsing and performing pieces from the concert band repertoire and commissioning new music, in order to further our own and our communities’ musical education.

The MIT Marching Band is composed of students from a wide variety of backgrounds who enjoy having fun and performing music. We perform regularly at MIT home football games, basketball games, and lacrosse games. We have also appeared recently at rugby, water polo, volleyball, quidditch, baseball, and field hockey games.

If you have a choir with more women than men, you might consider seating the basses and tenors in the middle, stacked back-to-front, with sopranos and altos divided on either side. This helps balance the treble/bass in the ensemble.
Does Yale have a pep band?
Bush sketch, which involved a line of white-shirted bandies and the playing of Eric Clapton’s “Cocaine.” We are also a pep band. During the winter we support Yale’s hockey and basketball teams every weekend.
