Are Pataks pastes good?
The products from the Pataks range are all excellent and this curry paste is another good example of great Indian taste and aroma. It is very easy to cook and always you end up with a lovely meal, full of flavour. Ideal with chicken or lamb. A great curry, very rich and tasty.
How do you use Patak’s paste pots?
Sizzle the spice paste to release flavours and brown your meat or vegetables. Add in chopped tomatoes and simmer until all cooked through. Garnish with fresh coriander to serve. Serve alongside Patak’s Naans, Pappadums, Chutneys and Pickles for the complete restaurant experience with your curry.
Can you use Patak’s in a slow cooker?
Add the Patak’s Tikka Masala Cooking Sauce and water, stir well and transfer to your slow cooker. Cook on high for 2½ – 3 hours.
How long does Patak’s curry paste last?

Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened keep the container sealed, refrigerated. Use within 3 weeks of opening and before the best before end date.

Can you use ready made sauces in a slow cooker?
Yep. I’ve done it, works fine. You might want to add a small amount of water just to prevent the sauce getting too thick. Usually I fill the sauce jar about a third of the way with water, give it a shake with the lid on so the water picks up the sauce left in the jar, and then pour that in the cooker.
Does tikka paste need to be cooked?
No. It is important that the product is not consumed uncooked; this is because Patak’s® pastes are made with some unprocessed spices.
Can you microwave Patak’s curry sauce?
Pataks Balti Paste just happens to be the one I’ve got opened in my cupboard already, so it made sense to use this today. Give it all a stir round, cover the dish and microwave on high for 3 minutes.
