Can I change my flight?
You can adjust your travel plans without any change fees — including for award tickets — for flights within the U.S., or for international travel originating in the U.S. This applies to most United Economy® and all premium cabin tickets. You’ll just pay the fare difference if your new flight is more expensive.
Does no change fee mean free cancellation?
Free changes don’t mean you’ll get your money back if you cancel your flight. Unless you purchase a fully refundable ticket, you’ll receive a future travel credit if you decide to cancel your flight. When it’s time to rebook, you won’t be charged a change fee, but you will be on the hook for a possible fare difference.
