Can you use Tamron for Canon?

What is the sweet spot for Tamron 150 600?
1 on my crop Canon 80D works great. It still gives enough light for fast as possible shutter. However I believe the sweet spot is around F8 from what I read. Also it’s supposedly not sharpest at 600mm….Sweet Spot for Tamron 150-600G2.

NO, lenses are camera brand and can also be camera model specific. (However you may be able to use different lens mounts on different camera brands or camera models with a compatible lens adapter).

The IQ at 600 is akin to having a very good 400mm with a 1.4x teleconverter attached. The Tamron is good enough at 600mm that I shoot 90-95% of my shots at that focal length. The biggest knock against it is the autofocus.

On the side of the barrel, VR has two settings imprinted on it. Besides the slider to turn VR Off, One option is Normal and the other is Active. I wouldn’t need to read the manual to have a clue which one to use. I own a Nikon 200-500mm VR lens. Similarly, it has Normal and Sport. I own the original Tamron 150-600mm VC lens. It has one option.
Does the Tamron D5300 have AF problems?
I tried the Tamron on the D5300 and did have some odd AF problems. Sometimes it just would not focus until I moved the focal point to much closer or much further, then it was o.k. for many more shots.
