Is Tau getting new models?
GW has confirmed a new Tau codex will be one of the Warhammer 40k releases of the new year in 2022- here’s all the new models and rules so far!
Is the new Tau Codex out?
Codex: T’au Empire will arrive in early 2022, and with the Genestealer Cults and Adeptus Custodes codexes also landing in the same period. We’ll see how they do the release, but we expect those other two codex books (Custodes & GSC) will come out a little earlier, and then the Tau stuff with Darkstrider, etc.
Are Tau good in Warhammer 40k?
The Tau are often seen as being a ‘good’ race, but they are not. Granted, they might be the one race that is closest to what we percieve as ‘good’, but they show now mercy or pity towards those who disagree with their philosophy, & the ‘choice’ they give to other races is no real choice at all.
Are Tau Pathfinders worth it?
They’re an efficient source of markerlights and you could do a LOT worse by choosing them. There are more protectable sources of markerlights that will stick around and those are thus more dependable, so Pathfinders aren’t the end-all, be-all, but they are absolutely worth consideration.
Who are the Tau based on?
Whereas most of the races in Warhammer 40,000 are based on Tolkien fantasy races (e.g. the Eldar are based on High Elves), the culture and technology of the Tau were heavily inspired by Japanese science-fiction.
Can Tau fight melee?
Technically, there is one piece of Tau (and not ally) melee wargear that is expected to see use, the onager gauntlet. It is an oversized power fist to deal with the issue of running out of ammunition against the endless numbers of suicidal imps, even with the considerable efficiency in their destruction.
Is the Devilfish transport getting an upgrades in Codex T’au Empire?
With the upcoming Codex: T’au Empire arriving for pre-order this Saturday, we’ve already seen upgrades for battlesuits , pulse blastcannons, and railguns. But while the big guns have been stealing the spotlight, even the humble Devilfish transport is getting some Earth Caste TLC.
Why are the t’Au getting so many weapon upgrades?
Their battlesuits can now fire their weapons even when in Engagement Range of enemy units. Albeit they have to fire upon the unit they are engaged with but still…that’s a big upgrade for them. And did we mention the T’au are also getting a bunch of gun upgrades? Because they are getting a bunch of gun upgrades… Dakka, Dakka, Dakka!
