CAGE Code Lookup CAGE stands for Commercial and Government Entity. Assigned by the Department of Defense’s Defense Logistics Agency, CAGE CODEs are 5-character alphanumeric ID that is assigned to entities located within the United States and its territories.

How does a contractor enter a cage code?
The Contractor navigates to our site, enters the Manufacturer name into our Search, and the matching CAGE code is output. This CAGE code is then entered into the Contractors’ bid submission. If you do not have a CAGE code, you can navigate to the DLA’s website to request a CAGE code.
Where can I find CAGE codes and NSN numbers?

Can you assign CAGE codes to a company?

How many characters are in a cage code?
Each CAGE Code is five characters long. Unlike NSNs, the characters that make up CAGE Codes have no specific meaning, they are merely a means of identification. Despite this, the first and last characters are always a letter while the middle three numbers are a combination of letters and numbers.
