How much does it cost to join Air Cadets in Canada?
Select cadets may participate in summer courses at training centres across Canada. Air Cadets are under no obligation to join the Canadian Forces. There is no set cost to join. Certain provinces may require registration fees, while others may not.
Can you join the Air Cadets at 14?
The age group for Air Cadets is 12- 18 years. Your child must have had his or her 12th birthday at the time of registration. Specific details regarding registration costs vary from squadron to squadron.
What is the minimum age to join Air Cadets?
The Air Cadets are open to young people from ages 13 to 18 (applications can be made between 12th and 17th birthday). In London, the Air Cadets are divided into four Wings which between them have over 90 squadrons and more than 4000 Air Cadets.
Do you fly planes in Air Cadets?
Joining the Air Cadets opens up lots of opportunities, including the chance to fly! It’s our aim to get you airborne as often as possible, as a passenger in a light aircraft, a glider or even on-board RAF aircraft such as our Typhoon fast-jet or a Chinook helicopter.
What guns do the Air Cadets use?
RAF Air Cadets use three different rifles: the No. 8, L98A2 Cadet GP Rifle and the L81A2 Cadet Target Rifle. Cadets begin by shooting at distances of 25 metres, and can advance to distances of up to 1,000 yards!

Can air cadets fly in airplanes?
Members of the Air Cadet Program will be given opportunities to fly in an airplane or glider during their time with the cadets. During this flight, the pilot demonstrates certain movements of the aircraft and explains the important phases of the flight. It is a perfect opportunity to see in practice all the concepts taught during training.
What happened to former 735 Squadron cadets?
