Which Ableton version is the best?
In my opinion the latest version of Live is usually the best one. Although, this merely a matter of opinion. I think though, that after around version 6 or 7 Ableton started to get really good. Or at least that’s when I really started to get into Ableton.

Yes, if you have Live 10 Standard with Max for Live and want to upgrade to Live 11 Standard, your Max for Live serial will still work with Live 10. You will need to re-authorize Live again to activate your Max for Live license.
