1997 through 1999 (genII chassis) xcr 440’s are quite reliable, very powerful for a 440 and lots of fun. The Edge chassis ones were prone to problems so I would avoid them. There was only one year (1999, the first Edge sleds) that were built in the Edge and tagged “XCR” so they are hard to find.
