Are all 6903 Bearings the same?
No. You need the same bearings, so 6809 bearings are what you need. 6903 will not fit.

Is a 61903 bearing the same as 6903?
The bearings are 61903-2RS. After researching, some people said that 6903 is the same dimensions as 61903. So I ordered some 6903 from one vendor. The outside diameter was fine and fit in my wheel perfectly, but the inside was slightly too small so the front axle wouldn’t go through.
Are Blue Seal bearings any good?

What does UU mean on a bearing?
DU and UU are suffix codes that are used by some manufacturers (I think) to denote rubber seals. The ‘2RS’ code is not a universal designation, although it is used by more than one manufacturer. This is a 6004-UU bearing. AFAICT ‘UU’ = ‘LLB’ ~ ‘2RS’

You really do need to buy the bearing installation tools, or you’ll damage the new bearings when fitting them, negating all your hard work and costing you more. If the hub binds when you reassemble it, the chances are you’ve missed the small spacer behind the cassette body.

Leave tool HTT174 in place, flip the wheel over and rest it on a hard surface, such as a floor without carpet. Grab your axle and put the long end section into the hub. Then get your bearing, drop that over the other end of the axle and roughly seat it into the hub.
