Do leachianus geckos bite?
Keep in mind that leachianus geckos are large and have a powerful bite! Make sure to avoid spooking your gecko (sudden movements, grabbing them by the tail, etc) as this can lead to them dropping their tails!

Food and Water: Giant Leachianus Geckos are frugivorous. They feed on fruit and live prey such as crickets and roaches. Provide crickets that are slightly larger then the width between their eyes. Coat the insects with a calcium/ mineral supplement that contains Vitamin D3.
Do Leachianus geckos need UVB?

UVB gives them all of the vitamin D that their bodies need, stimulates better appetite and activity, and generally allows them to be healthier than they would be without. Do Leachie geckos need heat lamps?
Leachies should have a low basking temperature between 82-85°F, as measured by a digital probe thermometer with the probe placed on the basking surface. Temperatures in the rest of the enclosure should stay between 75-80°F. Heat lamps should be turned off at night. Nighttime temperatures should be between 65-72°F.
What size tank does a Leachie need?
Ideally, your adult Leachie Gecko will live in a tank that is around 40 gallons. But not just any old 40 gallon tank will do! Try to aim for a tank that measures at least 18 inches wide by 18 inches deep by 24 inches tall.
