What is EPRINEX used for?

EPRINEX® is indicated for the treatment and control of gastrointestinal roundworms (including inhibited Ostertagia ostertagi), lungworms, grubs, sucking and biting lice, chorioptic and sarcoptic mange mites and horn flies in beef and dairy cattle of all ages, including lactating dairy cattle.

How long does EPRINEX last?

Eprinex Pour-On administered at the recommended dosage of 500 µg of eprinomectin per kg of body weight, effectively controls parasitic infestations with Haematobia irritans (horn flies) for up to 7 days after treatment.

How much EPRINEX do you give a goat?

Sheep and goats: Administer by topical application at the dose rate of 1.0 mg eprinomectin per kg bodyweight, corresponding to the recommended dose rate of 2 ml per 10 kg bodyweight. When administering the product along the backline, part the fleece/coat and place applicator nozzle or bottle spout against the skin.

Can you use EPRINEX on calves?

EPRINEX is safe for calves,* heifers, bulls, pregnant or open cows with no meat or milk withhold.

Is Eprinex harmful to humans?

NOT FOR USE IN HUMANS. As with any topical medication intended for treatment of animals, skin contact should be avoided. If accidental skin contact occurs, wash immediately with soap and water. If accidental eye exposure occurs, flush eyes immediately with water.

Can you use Eprinex in the rain?

Whilst care should be taken to ensure that cattle are treated in optimal conditions, there is evidence to show that EPRINEX Multi Pour-On is rainfast. In cattle, rainfall before or after the application of the product, has been shown to have no impact on its efficacy.

Can you give a goat too much wormer?

Never give your goat too much wormer. Ivomec is a chemical, and an overdose can cause serious health problems such as stumbling, lack of coordination and seizures in your goats. Only use the medicine after consulting with your veterinarian.

Can you use Eprinex on sheep?

EPRINEX MULTI Pour-on for cattle, sheep & goats is basically the same as IVOMEC EPRINEX for cattle but containing also 0.06 mg/ml vitamin E and approved also for use on sheep and goats.

How long does pour on Wormer need to be on before rain?

Allow time to ensure cattle are dry. Rain two hours after application could wash off the pour-on if cattle are being turned outside.
