What is Gradescope used for?
Gradescope is a tool designed to streamline and standardize paper-based, digital, and code assignments. It supports problem sets and projects as well as worksheets, quizzes, exams, and papers.
Can Gradescope record you?
Gradescope will maintain access log(s) that record all disclosures of or access to Student Data within its possession, and will provide copies of an access log(s) to you upon request.
How does Gradescope detect cheating?
After using Gradescope for a year, I realized that it could be used to detect cheating. Gradescope allows you to see submissions to specific questions in sequence, making it easy to spot submissions that are identical, a red-flag for copied answers. While not a feature, it is an undocumented bonus.
Can a professor really see if you open up a new tab while taking an exam?
No the teacher will not be informed. As Google Form has no such functionality. However schools may choose to use 3rd party apps such as autoproctor which integrate with Google Form to provide such a monitoring facility.

Do professors track IP address?
