Can I bring my dog? No, dogs are natural predators of the Barbary macaque and are not allowed. However, if you have a guide dog we are happy to keep the guide dog in the onsite office whilst you enjoy the forest.
What happened Trentham Ballroom?
The hall was demolished in 1912-13 by its owner, the 4th Duke of Sutherland. During the 20th century, the estate was used for an amusement park and even for hosting the Lombard RAC Rally, which cut through the Italianate gardens.

You can have a nice day here at Westport Lake and take the kids and dog with you, nice walks around the lake, feed the ducks and then go and have something to eat yourself. I frequently run at wesport as the mile long “big lake” is flat and ideal for running. The cafe is lovely with a picturesque view of the lake.
