Common Post Spacing In general, the maximum span for a 4-by-6 beam is 6 feet between 4-by-4 posts. If you move up to 4-by-8, you’re usually allowed to span up to 10 feet between posts. A 4-by-10 can usually span up to 12 feet between posts.
How are carports anchored?
American Steel Carports uses 4 types of anchors or tie-downs when installing your carport. Rebar anchors (pin anchors) are used for standard installation on ground, gravel, clay, or sand. We also offer asphalt anchors, concrete anchors, and mobile home anchors (MHA) as an upgrade option for ground installation.
How far apart should gate hinges be?
Allow 4.5 to 5 inches between the post and gate for hinges and pins. Optional f ller blocks can be installed with lag bolts to reduce this opening (see photograph on left). Double gates will require a throw over gate loop and or drop rods. Allow 1/2 to one inch between double gates .

How do you fix STRATCO smartspan wall panels?
Pan-fix the Stratco Smartspan®wall sheets with coloured 10x16mm self-drilling screws along every girt. Before fixing screws, run a string line from both ends of the wall panel along the centre of each girt to ensure all screws will be fastened in-line.
How do you arrange a 1040 form in order?
