It would, perhaps, be surprising to find a village with a population of less than 2,000 that has a large (100ft X 33ft) public swimming pool. Hathersage is just such a village.
Are there lockers at Hathersage Pool?
Toilets will be open and available access will be one at a time, if needed please use the toilet before the start of you swim. Of course if you need to use the toilet during you swim then please do so. Lockers will be available for use and sterilised once a day.
Is hathersage pool open in winter?
For the first time in the pools history you can swim with us through winter. When the season ends on 18th November we won’t be closing down for winter or turning the heating off straight away.
When was hathersage pool built?
1936
Hathersage swimming pool opened in 1936, as a part of the King George Fifth Memorial Field. This included the tennis courts, band stand, playing field, a sand pit, and a 100ft. by 50ft.
Are dogs allowed at Hathersage Pool?
Each dog entering the pool must wear a collar or lightweight harness and be accompanied by their owner / handler with at least 1 person over the age of 18 in the water at all times. A maximum of 2 people can enter the water per dog.

Who owns hathersage pool?
The pool is run by Hathersage Parish Council on behalf of the King Georges Field charity who own it and benefits from a lot of volunteer input. Events will continue to be crucial to the success of the pool; Night swims with music, a 24hr summer solstice swim, coffee mornings and a triathlon based at the pool.
What is happening to Saltdean Lido?
THE SALTDEAN LIDONIAN – AUTUMN 2021 NEWS They agreed to part fund the production of plans and designs on condition that we (SLCIC) funded the rest and took on a long-term lease for the building, so we negotiated and signed a lease with BHCC last year (2020) and kicked off the designs for a new project.
