They also go a bit faster in the swells. The stupid thing though is that the Bluebridge Ferries leave from right in the center of the city while the Interislander leaves from further down the road. There is a bus from the main railway station to the ferry terminal. You can walk as it is flat but it is quite a walk.

They are moderately faster – 22 minutes vs 30 minutes for Freshwaters, but can be slow to unload due to narrow gangplanks and access from one deck only.
