When should VMCAS be submitted?
Apply early to mid-August. This allows for any delays or errors in application to be corrected, prior to the September deadline. VMCAS deadline is September 15 of each year.
How do I submit a recommendation letter to VMCAS?
They MUST be submitted electronically (eLOR). All VMCAS recommendations are to be completed electronically in the Recommendation section of the VMCAS application. Committee letters can be submitted by entering the committee chair (or their alternate) as the recommender.
Can I submit my Vmcas application without letters of recommendation?
You can submit your application before your transcripts and recommendations are received. Please note, however, that we will not review your application until all of your transcripts, payments, and recommendations are received.

How do you enter experience in VMCAS?

- Click Add an Experience.
- Select the appropriate experience type from the drop-down.
- Enter information about the organization where the experience took place.
- Enter information about your supervisor at the organization.
- Enter the date or date range in which the experience took place.
Is Cornell Vet school hard to get into?
Entrance into the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree program is very competitive. In some cases it could take a couple of application cycles to gain admission into the program. We encourage students to reapply and offer advice in ways to strengthen an application for a future cycle.
How long does it take for Vmcas application to be verified?
Once VMCAS receives *all* your required documentation, VMCAS will then place your application in the verification queue. Verification can take up to four (4) weeks for us to complete your verification.

How long does it take VMCAS to verify?
Once all of your required application materials are received, your application’s status changes to Complete, and your application is placed in line to be verified. Verifications occur in chronological order and can take up to 10 business days to complete.
Does UC Davis vet school require GRE?
All applicants are required to take the GRE which includes the verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing sections. Though only the quantitative score is factored into an application’s initial ranking, the verbal and analytical writing sections may be considered as part of the holistic review process.
