How do you unlock different species in SWTOR?
Check your legacy to see which species are legacy unlocks. You can unlock those either by starting a new character with one (some species are only availalbe for certain classes) and levelling them up to 50, or by a credit or CC unlock. (1.5 mil credits to unlock if I’m remembering right).
Are race unlocks account wide SWTOR?
Cathar is account wide, all of the other races are per legacy. So if you decide you want to make a jedi pureblood on a different server, you will have to buy said unlock. If you get the Cartel Market unlock, then yes it should be account wide.
