How do you play Lavaloon?
Lavaloon is a strong deck and it has been prevalent in different metas for a long time. Your main aim is to build up a push behind your hound and overwhelm the opponent. Against golem decks you should apply pressure with the balloon and minions as soon as the opponent plays their tank in the back.
How do you make Lavaloon?
Drop the Archer Queen to clean up Air Defenses along with 4 balloons with a haste spell to take down outer defenses. This makes a funnel for your troops to go in. When some defenses are destroyed, drop 2 lava hounds and most of your balloons (spread the balloons out)….LavaLoon.

How do you defend Lavaloon?
Try to use the Ice Spirit to Freeze the Balloon for a short time while you cycle your deck so you have a more suitable counter. If your opponent uses spells on the Inferno Tower than you can use your Minion Horde to counter the Lavaloon combo. Use arrows to spell cycle towers, if minions are placed in the back.

What kills Lava Hound?
Be sure to use at least one single-targeting Inferno Tower, which will destroy a Lava Hound with ease, just like they destroy Golems with ease. Lava Hounds are a great choice as a Clan Castle troop for level 5 Clan Castle or higher, particularly at higher leagues.
Is Lavaloon still in Meta?
These decks and cards are the reason Lavaloon has fallen out of the meta, but with the right practice and know-how, this deck style can still be very successful! Just to clarify, I will be using the Classic Lavaloon deck to give examples.

The Tornado and Executioner combo is very effective in destroying the Lava Hound and its support troops. The Tornado brings all the troops to the same spot so the Executioner can hit all of them at once. If the Executioner defeats the Lava Hound, it can also hit the generated Lava Pups at once.
