Include a lining of heavy or thin, starched fabric. Between the bag exterior and the lining, you can add elements like heavy-duty iron-in interfacing, which stiffens fabric, as well as padded iron-in lining, which both stiffens and adds bulk that helps purses retain their structure.
How do you make tea cosies?
To make sure the cosy fits, lay your teapot on its side on to a large piece of paper. Draw a semicircle around the teapot, adding an extra 5cm on all sides to make the pattern for the main body and lining.
How do I make crisp corners when sewing?

- When I sew a sharp corner, I lift the foot when I get to the corner, I pivot to the other direction, lower the foot and continue sewing.
- After finishing sewing my piece, I clip the tip of the corner as close to the seam as possible, without cutting through the seam, of course.
