The I-20 is a multi-purpose document issued by a U.S. government-approved educational institution certifying that a student has been admitted to a full-time study program and has demonstrated sufficient financial resources to stay in the United States.

Can I show fixed deposit for I-20?

Your bank balance(Liquid Fund or Direct Cash in Bank) should be above the amount on I20. Don’t show Fixed Deposits(FD), PFs under readily available funds for your F1 Visa Interview. They will NOT be considered as immediate liquid funds available(Direct Cash). They are extra amounts available for your Education.

Can I book visa without I-20?
