Whats the difference between BR9ES and BR8ES?
The heat range of a spark plug is indicated by the number in the plug’s identification sequence. On NGK spark plugs, the lower the number the hotter the plug (higher numbers are colder). Thus, your NGK BR9ES is colder than a BR8ES.

What is the difference between Bres and V groove spark plugs?
They are exactly the same as BRES plugs, but have a V groove in the electrode which is designed for a better spark, and less fouling. They however only come in solid cap, so you will probably need to change your lead cap. More sharing options… Im pretty close with my jetting, nor has it ever fouled a plug. (knock on wood!)
Can I use br8es for my 81 KZ1000?
hey can i use the br8es for my 81 kz1000? the b8es have a fitting on the threaded portion which is not compatible with the ignition coil connectors that i have. i know one of the differences, is the the br8es is a resistance plug so prevents rf interference, in case u have a radio on board or something, but im not to bothered about that.
What does b8res mean on spark plugs?
The “R” in B8RES means resistor. I’d only use this in sparkplugs wires/high tension leads without the supession as it will lower the spark energy if combined with the normal sparkplug caps, (the ones that came with the bike) as they have a built in resistor to reduce the RFI (or electrical noise).
