It lies at the southern end of Salusbury Road, near the south-east corner of the public park from which the area now known as Queens Park has taken its modern name. The station is in Travelcard Zone 2.
Why is it called Queens Park?
The area around Queen’s Park was developed from 1875, and was named to honour Queen Victoria. The open space opened in 1887, located to the north, also shares the name. In 1879 the Royal Agricultural Society annual show was held on the area which would become Queen’s Park.
