PING’S European factory has been in Gainsborough for over 40 years and from there all PING golf equipment is assembled and distributed to the European market, as well as to South Africa and the Middle East.

Where are Ping irons made?
Ping Golf Clubs are manufactured in Phoenix, Arizona, Japan, and Vietnam. All steel shafts, golf grips, Groove for Gorge wedges, and putters such as Ping Anser, Nome, and Sydney are manufactured in full at the Phoenix plant.
Can you tour the PING factory?
PING offers factory tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, by reservation only. Tours fill up very quickly, so please be sure to call well in advance. Are any golf clubs made in the UK?
Forgan was founded in 1860 at “the home of golf” St Andrews. They were taken over by American owned Spalding in 1945 and made clubs in Scotland until 1963 when production was moved to Belfast. They still hand assemble clubs in the UK.
What do dots mean on Ping irons?
Every Ping iron has a small color-coded dot that identifies the relative lie angle. A black dot signifies a standard lie approximately in the middle of the range of available choices, and various other colors indicate different lie angles.
What happens at Ping club fitting?
After the initial interview, your fitter will determine your initial club specifications based on your preferences, needs and ability. For drivers, fairways and hybrids, you’ll discuss the general performance characteristics of different models, lofts and shafts.
How does Ping fitting work?
For the test, the PING fitter places impact tape on the sole of the golf club. You hit some golf balls sitting on a hard plate, making sure to hit the plate like you would the turf. The fitter then adjusts the color code until the impact mark is centered.
