What bridge is Jazzmaster?
“CLASSIC PLAYER” JAZZMASTER OR JAGUAR Includes our M1 Mastery Bridge with standard US mounting posts and a set of two vintage spec 303 Stainless Steel thimbles. The “AOM” or “Adjusto-Matic” bridge used on these guitars has threaded body thimbles which must be replaced with standard ones in order for our bridge to work.
Can you change the bridge on an electric guitar?

The only way to adjust the string height on a Gibson or Tune-o-matic bridge is to adjust the entire bridge piece up or down. Like all electric guitar bridges, the Gibson or Tune-o-matic bridge needs to be set up properly.
How does a Jaguar bridge work?
The strings flow from the tailpiece and break over the floating bridge at an angle, then plummet down a pitched-back neck toward the nut and tuning machines. In theory, the downward force exerted on the bridge keeps the strings in place while the bridge freely rocks back and forth with vibrato use.
What is wrong with the Jazzmaster bridge?
One of the main design issues with the Jaguar and Jazzmaster tremolo is that there’s not enough down tension angle behind the bridge to keep the strings in their slots. This means that when you strum hard or do big bends, the string goes walkies. You may also hear the string ringing out behind the bridge.
Why is my string buzzing at the bridge?
If your bridge lets you adjust, make sure the radius is correct. Often times your problematic string may be too low. Raise the bridge saddle to match the radius and the buzz can buzz off. Some bridges will let you adjust the height.

Are all tune o matic bridges the same size?
The Tune-o-matic bridge is not absolutely flat, and standard Gibson Tune-o-matic bridges have a 12″ radius. Ideally, the radius should match the radius of fretboard for the most comfortable playing experience. Due to its symmetrical design, it’s possible to accidentally fit the bridge on backwards on the two posts.
