Guided self-help involves using self-help materials based on Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to learn techniques to help manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias and stress with the help of a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.

What is the difference between Guided Self Help and CBT? Telephone work uses the same techniques as CBT but it is less intensive and the emphasis is on guiding someone through a process of self-help and learning. At Health in Mind we deliver Guided Self help (using CBT techniques) and we also offer more intensive CBT.
