How much does it cost to go to the ballet?
As far as costs for ballet or dance classes as a hobby is concerned, expect to pay somewhere around $60 to $150 per month for tuition, depending on the number of classes your child takes each week and the region you live in. In addition to tuition, there is the cost of dance clothes, shoes, and accessories.
Do you live at The Royal Ballet School?
Our students come from across the UK and all over the world and are therefore required to live in boarding houses. Younger pupils live within the grounds of White Lodge, Richmond Park and Upper School students live either in Covent Garden or at our new boarding house in Pimlico.
How do I join the Royal Ballet?
Ages 14-15
- Boys and girls aged 14-15 by 31 August 2022 (in school years 9 or 10)
- Demonstrable commitment to the student of classical ballet and a good technical facility acquired through previous dance training.
- Girls must be en pointe and able to take part in pointe work training.
