As part of my Literacy Initiative, the California Department of Education (CDE) has partnered with Renaissance to ensure that every California student can access thousands of engaging digital reading resources for free during winter break by visiting myON at https://www.myon.com/index.html.
How do I read books on myON?
Select Library at the top of the myON window to start looking for books. Select Recommended to see books that are recommended to you based on your reading level and interests. selecting the button. If you click the button, a window with information about the book will open.
Is myON still free?
Our students will have free access to the myON digital library and daily news articles they can access from home during the current COVID-19 school closure period. This will help them continue reading and learning—and provide additional opportunities for them to explore topics they are interested in.
What is myON reading program?
A personalized digital library at every student’s fingertips myON is a student-centered, personalized digital library that gives students access to more than 7,000 enhanced digital books in the core collection. Titles are dynamically matched to each individual student’s interests, grade and reading level.
How much does a myON subscription cost?
myON is sold as an annual license, with prices ranging from $2,995 for a school to $1,440 for grade levels or small schools. myON NEWS can be purchased separately or can be bundled to include myON and additional third-party pricing.

Can you download books from myON?
If signed into the app, users can also download books directly to the app from their account on myON.com. myON is a web-based personalized literacy platform, where students can read, write, and learn in their own account with recommended titles and activities based on their abilities.
