if you add ceratec for bbq tick prevention then I’d suggest adding some before the oil change and also have some miles on it. Since a lot of owners get the tick after the oil change, there must be something in the oil change process itself that causes it. Like short term oil starvation or so.

Amusingly ,this caused a fair bit of commotion among the people at the shop. Anyway, with the engine oil drained, the oil filter was replaced , a fresh can of synthetic engine oil was poured in and I was good to go. Ceratec is said to be able to last for at least 4 oil changes once the additive had bonded with the internal engine components.
